The class will cover:

  • Are You Ready to Launch? Most people are not.  The crowdfunding class will cover social media, PR, preparing your email list, interviews/podcasts, reaching out at Comic Cons and other events, crunching those numbers, avoiding postage pitfalls and much more!
  • Developing Your Crowdfunding Homepage. This time, it is all about YOU! What’s your story? Do you have street cred? Rewards Tiers unraveled. Important information about your video.
  • You’ve Launched. Now what? Strategies to maintain momentum during the campaign. Timing is everything.
  • Fulfillment. Woot! You did it. Managing backer expectations, plus practical applications of packaging and mailing.

Having successfully funded seven campaigns for her comic, Boston Metaphysical Society, Madeleine’s last campaign had 621 backers and brought in over $17,000.

“I took Madeleine Holly-Rosing’s Kickstarter class and bought her book, and this made all the difference–I have just completed a successfully funded Kickstarter campaign! It wouldn’t have happened without Madeleine’s excellent advice, which covered everything from demo videos, homepage, planning, timing, updates, and budgeting to stretch goals, rewards and press releases. I was able to plan realistically for launching, promoting and managing the campaign, paying attention to detail and learning how to use resources and contacts. Don’t even think about doing your own Kickstarter campaign without taking Madeleine’s class.”   – Meredith Kennedy, “The Twelfth Eagle” film project, September 2016

“Madeleine’s workshop is very useful across different kinds of crowdfunding platforms. I took it months before my IndieGoGo campaign, and a lot of her advice and information on how to prepare for it, the costs and considerations, and the aftermath came in handy. She prepared a series of very important questions to ask before starting the campaign and made clear the investments that campaigns require. Realistic and comprehensive!” — Jaymee Goh, The Sea is Ours, Indiegogo Campaign

“Madeleine’s insights on the Kickstarter process come not only from study but from her experiences as a project creator. She’s been where you are, and I benefited greatly from her guidance before, during and after my own campaign. Thanks, Madeleine!” – Sarah Roark, Creator of the webcomic After Daylight

“My recent Kickstarter owes a lot of its success to Madeleine. From that first crucial day all the way to my Stretch Goals, Madeleine’s expert advice and sage counsel were an invaluable asset in getting my project funded.” – Mark Stokes, Creator of the comic Zombie Boy.

“This Kickstarter seminar is a must for any creatives out there thinking about running a campaign.  Madeleine Holly-Rosing provides a complete run through of Kickstarter’s interface and, more importantly, effective campaigning strategies which the average layman wouldn’t consider.  I for one, was very grateful to have attended.  Now knowing exactly what I’m faced up against, I feel so much more prepared and more confident about all the new releases under my label.  After this class I feel prepared to Kickstart.” – Tim Carter
